Renovation of a historic tropical exhibition through bioclimatic greenhouse design integrating African and Amazonian faunas within immersive, water-cycle-driven narratives. Two greenhouse domes house African and Amazonian faunas, connected by an outdoors European riparian forest. The water cycle guides visitors through distinct biomes while maintaining optimal tropical conditions year-round without conventional indoor housing.
The domes function as interpretive centers communicating conservation messages around tropical ecosystems and water cycles. The holistic species concept integrates mammals, birds, and ectotherms within shared biomes, creating ecologically complex environments that support both animal welfare and meaningful visitor engagement.
